Characteristics of Injection Mold Materials

1. Tool Steel: High hardness, wear resistance, high strength, and can be hardened; however, it suffers from cold brittleness and low fatigue life, requiring frequent coating maintenance.

2. Pre-hardened Mold Steel: Moderate hardness, good machinability, and long service life, but is more expensive.

3. Heat-Treatable Non-Deformable Mold Steel: High hardness, high wear resistance, and high toughness, but relatively expensive.

4. Stainless Steel: Good corrosion resistance, usable in humid environments, but lower hardness, limiting its use in complex mold making.
